Base Salary
$125k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain availability of physical Linux servers supporting the Palantir platform in air-gapped production environments.
- Design, deploy, and operate infrastructure using orchestration and monitoring platforms.
- Collaborate with product teams on deployment requirements and service-level objectives for air-gapped environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, systems, and production issues while minimizing operational impact.
- Configure and support customer hardware, physical servers, and networking equipment at various locations.
- Automate routine operational tasks through scripting and participate in a production support on-call schedule.
Requirements
- Be available for 50% domestic and international travel.
- Have 4+ years of Linux system administration experience, with RHEL or an equivalent preferred.
- Have experience setting up, configuring, and managing physical servers and networking equipment.
- Be familiar with monitoring systems such as Prometheus and writing health checks.
- Be proficient in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
- Have a strong engineering background; fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science are preferred.
- Hold an active US Security Clearance at or above the Top Secret level.
- Experience with Docker or Podman and OpenShift or Kubernetes at scale is a plus.
- Preferred certifications include DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher, CISSP, Security+, Linux+, or RHCE.
