Base Salary
$204k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the team’s technical strategy over a year-long horizon and connect it to critical business-impacting projects.
- Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, finance partners, and other teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes that multiply team effectiveness.
- Own team operations and availability, including monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, alerting, and on-call support.
- Set code review and design standards and promote engineering quality through writing and technical talks.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
- Build and maintain scalable ledger systems supporting accounting controls, monthly close, annual audits, and capital markets reporting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Experience building highly available distributed systems using technologies such as AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in financial systems, ledgering, treasury, or adjacent domains where data accuracy and reliability are critical.
- Experience defining technical and execution plans for major features, system components, or deprecations.
- Strong coding, system architecture, communication, collaboration, and feedback skills.
- Proficiency with languages such as Python or Kotlin.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
