Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including research, design, development, integration, deployment, and testing.
- Develop and integrate software systems for Department of Defense customers.
- Curate synthetic geospatial data in raster formats for simulation applications.
- Apply software architecture, object-oriented design, implementation, testing, and integration practices.
- Work as part of a distributed development team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of formal work-related software engineering experience.
- Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with C++ and Python software development.
- Experience with full lifecycle software development, object-oriented design, software architecture, testing, and integration.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development methodologies and tools such as JUnit and Pytest.
- Experience with DevSecOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience includes Agile development processes, JIRA, Linux, NumPy, Pandas, Rasterio, SciPy, performance testing, scalability, system tuning, geospatial raster formats, and weather-related systems and data.
