Base Salary
$250k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production-grade AI products end-to-end, from problem framing and data pipeline design through deployment and live iteration.
- Work with partners in a forward-deployed manner to understand constraints and develop scalable agentic solutions.
- Lead technical scoping workshops and work directly with city leaders on agentic workflows.
- Contribute to intelligent tooling for data consolidation, predictive modeling, real-time decision-making, and LLM-powered experiences.
- Design scalable APIs, manage data flows, and write reliable backend code for AI-driven features.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams to identify and prioritize high-impact AI opportunities.
- Help establish the technical culture and development practices of the AI Labs team.
- Evaluate and introduce new AI tools, ideas, and approaches.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience building full-stack applications with a record of owning features end-to-end.
- 3+ years of experience working with AI tools or building AI-powered products.
- Deep expertise across LLMs, predictive modeling, and supporting data infrastructure.
- Strong software engineering skills, including scalable API design, distributed systems, and maintainable code.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, early-stage environments and take ownership.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfort working directly with users and customers and traveling for on-site collaboration.
