Base Salary
$100k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical research and analysis.
- Develop software, algorithms, and problem-solving approaches for existing and new programs.
- Model complex systems and produce innovative capabilities and services.
- Perform requirements analysis, software testing, and technical testing.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and software specialists.
- Read and write technical documentation.
- Attend meetings and present project results, including through occasional U.S. commercial air travel.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, physical sciences, or a related technical field.
- Strong technical fundamentals and transferable skills relevant to sensors, satellites, space physics, network analysis, materials, artificial intelligence, computer vision, statistics, computer science, computational topics, or quantum computing.
- Good programming skills, including C++ and object-oriented programming experience.
- Ability to perform requirements analysis, software and technical testing, and technical documentation.
- Ability to work successfully in a team and communicate effectively.
- U.S. citizenship and willingness to apply for a security clearance.
- Ability to work onsite at the Santa Barbara, California location.
- Familiarity with electro-optical sensors and systems, radar systems, satellite operations and communications, cybersecurity, Microsoft Office, or Visual Studio is desirable.
