Responsibilities
- Automate, triage, diagnose, and fix web compatibility issues caused by Enhanced Tracking Protection.
- Own, deliver, prototype, or improve smaller-scale privacy-improving projects.
- Work to enhance Protections UI, Site Identity, Site Permissions, and Certificate Errors surfaces across Firefox.
- Consolidate and improve telemetry dashboards.
- Mitigate tracking, security, or privacy issues.
- Collaborate with and learn from senior engineers to deliver more complex projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
- Enthusiasm for conducting software engineering work in the open.
- Basic knowledge of core web technologies and browser functionality.
- Understanding of and passion for web privacy and security.
- Experience with programming in C/C++ or JavaScript.
- Drive for learning and delivering fundamental work across the entire stack.
