Responsibilities
- Develop frontend applications for command-and-control systems, mission dashboards, and system health monitoring.
- Design backend and middleware services, APIs, and microservices for heterogeneous networks, edge devices, and cloud environments.
- Extend Lattice OS through software tools and interfaces integrating Maritime systems, unmanned vehicles, and classified cloud environments.
- Build integrations among sensors, mission systems, network devices, undersea platforms, edge systems, and classified networks.
- Implement and test mesh networking, fault-tolerant data pipelines, and edge-to-cloud systems.
- Collaborate with hardware, autonomy, DevOps, infrastructure, corporate IT, security, Mission Ops, and product teams.
- Support multinational deployments, exercises, customer engagements, and real-time integration troubleshooting.
- Write integration guides, API documentation, deployment procedures, and engineering best practices.
- Apply lessons from operational use to influence future Lattice and Maritime systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering or systems integration.
- Strong frontend development experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar technologies.
- Strong backend development experience with Python, Go, Node.js, or similar languages.
- Experience with systems engineering, networking, security, and edge/cloud integrations.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, preferably in secure or classified environments.
- Working knowledge of network protocols, mesh networking, and secure communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes Maritime platforms, unmanned underwater vehicles, undersea sensors, submarine systems, Lattice OS, autonomy and sensor-fusion operating systems, sovereign cloud environments, classified military networks, AUKUS collaboration, and multinational mission systems integration.
- Strong troubleshooting ability across hardware, software, and network interactions is preferred.
