Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, mentor, assess, and coach the Sales Engineering team.
- Teach pre-sales, consultative selling, customer management, account expansion, and sales methodologies.
- Conduct technical capability reviews, performance reviews, and professional development discussions.
- Support sales campaigns and customer management activities to achieve revenue targets and quota requirements.
- Deliver sales presentations, technical product information, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with Sales management to standardize and improve Sales Engineering and Sales Representative best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive-level customers, direct reports, and company leadership through presentations, telephone, and remote conferencing.
- Ability to train salespeople, close sales effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota requirements.
- Ideally, prior experience successfully leading a team that drives target attainment.
- Strong analytical, technical, customer service, problem-solving, written communication, oral communication, adaptability, and planning skills.
