Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based infrastructure code for business configuration management.
- Build and enhance business configuration management functionality.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs for financial trading systems.
- Use MongoDB collections and databases for data persistence and retrieval.
- Implement comprehensive unit testing strategies.
- Collaborate on regulatory compliance initiatives, requirements discovery, and project prioritization.
- Participate in architecture, design decisions, code reviews, and software delivery best practices.
- Work hands-on across development, testing, support, and maintenance releases.
- Provide L3 production and user issue support and resolve issues quickly.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and support teams across global regions.
- Interface with internal and external clients and act as a technical and functional contact point.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to weekly scrums.
Requirements
- Strong Core Java programming skills with a focus on infrastructure code.
- Experience with MongoDB, SQL Server or similar databases, and SQL.
- Knowledge of multithreading and memory management.
- Experience with GitLab CI and continuous integration.
- Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful services.
- Knowledge of event-driven systems and messaging patterns.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to identify problem areas and evolve solutions.
- Preferred understanding of investment banking, capital markets, trading systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB collections and NoSQL databases is highly desirable.
- Experience with role-based authorization and security frameworks is desirable.
- Background developing approval workflow systems is desirable.
