Base Salary
$200k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture for AWS infrastructure, container orchestration, and CI/CD supporting scalable payment systems.
- Standardize infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code for high-volume ledger and transaction platforms.
- Reduce operational overhead through tooling, streamlined workflows, and engineering standards.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and observability across real-time and payment-rail infrastructure.
- Define service ownership and operational models across platform and product teams.
- Contribute to infrastructure and security strategy for new payment rails, FBO structures, stablecoin integrations, and compliance-focused features.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
- Track record of setting technical direction without direct authority and building internal platforms that abstract complexity for product teams.
- Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems and AWS infrastructure at scale.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools, CI/CD systems and automation pipelines, and Docker-based containerized environments.
- Experience with observability, production performance tuning, application and product security, and scaling high-volume workloads.
- Experience defining reliability standards and operational maturity models.
- Preferred experience architecting infrastructure for multiple payment rails, scaling high-volume financial or transactional systems, understanding ACH, wires, RTP, and cards, and familiarity with security and risk standards for money movement.
- Ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term infrastructure strategy.
