Responsibilities
- Define and execute application and AI security strategy, policies, standards, and roadmaps across software development teams.
- Integrate AI-powered security capabilities into developer coding platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and applications.
- Lead AI security initiatives across web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and third-party AI services.
- Establish governance, guardrails, security requirements, acceptable-use policies, code-review requirements, data-protection controls, and validation processes for GenAI, LLMs, and agentic solutions.
- Evaluate, pilot, and operationalize emerging AI security technologies and develop AI-based application security capabilities.
- Mentor developers, architects, and engineering leaders on secure application development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related discipline with typically eight years of cybersecurity experience; master’s degree with typically six years of relevant experience; or typically twelve years of relevant work experience without a degree.
- At least five years of application security experience.
- Understanding of how modern engineering teams use AI coding assistants, code-generation platforms, and AI-powered services.
- Strong familiarity with OWASP Top 10, OWASP API Security Top 10, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, and secure AI software development practices.
- Strong familiarity with secrets detection, SAST, DAST, SCA, and API security testing.
- Experience securing AI-enabled applications, including LLMs, AI agents, MCP integrations, prompt-injection defenses, model governance, and data-protection controls.
- Experience using AI to code scripts that leverage APIs for custom application security solutions.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with product and engineering teams.
