Responsibilities
- Provide second-level technical support for HID and Mercury products.
- Assist developers and partners with API integration and implementation.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, serial communication, and application issues.
- Reproduce customer-reported issues, identify root causes, and document defects for engineering review.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve product and integration issues.
- Interface directly with customers and partners to understand technical requirements and challenges.
- Educate partners on deployment, implementation, and integration best practices.
- Participate in workshops, planning events, technical training sessions, and product demonstrations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, product enhancement, knowledge-sharing, and technical documentation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Programming experience with C/C++, C#, and/or Rust.
- Experience with HTTP, HTML, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and MQTT.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including TCP, UDP, and HTTPS.
- Experience with Wireshark, Postman, and curl.
- Knowledge of RS-232 and RS-485 serial communication protocols.
- Understanding of SSL/TLS digital certificates.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create technical documentation, procedures, specifications, and presentations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred experience with physical access control products, Mercury controllers, HID technologies, Jira, customer-facing technical support, development support, and security systems integration.
