Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including research, prototyping, design, development, documentation, and defect fixing.
- Design and implement system deployment automation and configuration management tools.
- Develop software and scripts for infrastructure automation and operational workflows.
- Configure and maintain Kubernetes and other container orchestration platforms.
- Build, improve, and maintain automated deployment pipelines.
- Automate Linux patching and operating-system lifecycle management.
- Implement Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.
- Collaborate with application, security, infrastructure, development, and operations teams.
- Manage database service levels and performance.
- Lead complex infrastructure initiatives, troubleshoot difficult production issues, and establish DevOps and Linux engineering standards.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications.
- Experience with C# development, SQL database administration, debugging, troubleshooting, source control, code management, and software research and development.
- Experience automating Linux patching and operating-system lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.
- Familiarity with artifact repositories, package-management solutions, REST APIs, and infrastructure-platform integrations through APIs.
- Experience working in an Agile or DevOps engineering environment.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Podman, or other container technologies.
- Preferred experience supporting infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or other cloud environments.
- Preferred experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
