Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize robotics software applications using ROS.
- Integrate deep learning, imitation learning, generative AI, and other machine learning algorithms with robotics platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware and algorithm teams to deploy robust AI systems on real-world robots.
- Use the NVIDIA Isaac Robotics Ecosystem for simulation, perception, and deployment tasks.
- Develop and improve perception, planning, and control modules.
- Maintain high-quality, reusable, and documented codebases and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Stay current with research and trends in robotics, deep learning, and generative AI.
- Contribute technical leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field with relevant robotics and AI coursework.
- 3–6 years of professional experience in robotics software development.
- Strong proficiency with Linux, Ubuntu, shell scripting, ROS, Python, and C++.
- Hands-on experience applying deep learning to robotics, including computer vision, motion planning, or decision-making.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Ability to design, implement, and deploy AI/ML algorithms on robotic systems.
- Experience with object-oriented software design, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, FastAPI or Django, Docker, version control, and software delivery pipelines.
- Preferred experience with Universal Robots, MIR, humanoids, quadrupeds, robotic arms, mobile manipulators, AMRs, or drones.
- Preferred experience with NVIDIA Isaac, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, LLM-based generative AI, embedded or real-time robotics, sensor fusion, SLAM, advanced perception, or Open-RMF.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and self-motivation skills, plus experience leading technical teams.
