Base Salary
$119k - $188k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Java/Spring Boot microservices that extend and integrate with eBay’s Internal Developer Platform.
- Develop front-end experiences for the Internal Developer Platform using React.
- Build, operate, and scale Kubernetes-based development environments.
- Design automated, reproducible, and reliable development and staging infrastructure.
- Reduce pipeline failures caused by environment dependencies.
- Use Python scripting to drive automation and operational excellence.
- Improve the scalability, resilience, performance, and reliability of the Internal Developer Platform.
- Collaborate across functional groups and remote offices, identify project risks, and provide mitigation or alternative solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience building microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
- Front-end development experience with React.
- Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Strong distributed systems and platform engineering fundamentals.
- A high-ownership focus on reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
- BS/Master’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
