Base Salary
$165k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement AI-powered real-time decision-making and policy-enforcement systems at scale.
- Build observability tooling to monitor abuse trends and identify novel attack patterns.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable GCP infrastructure using serverless and event-driven components.
- Build enforcement tooling, escalation paths, and appeal workflows for Operations, Support, and users.
- Partner with Data Science on threat and anomaly detection systems.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Design to embed privacy and safety into the product.
- Design performant APIs, databases, and backend systems.
- Participate in the Trust & Safety incident on-call rotation and prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Drive the Trust & Safety roadmap while balancing safety investments with broader business needs.
Requirements
- 3–11 years of full-stack, infrastructure engineering, or applied machine learning experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
- At least 2 years of Trust & Safety experience; consumer social experience is preferred.
- Experience building end-to-end enforcement systems covering detection, action pipelines, escalation workflows, and appeals.
- Fluency with common abuse vectors on consumer social platforms.
- Experience with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements for Trust & Safety systems.
- Experience designing and managing serverless or event-driven systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and best practices.
- Experience with observability systems such as Sentry, GCP Cloud Logging, and Metrics Explorer.
- Understanding of networking, security, and performance-tuning fundamentals.
- Comfort working in TypeScript and Node.js environments.
- Ability to automate, optimize, and build effective team tooling.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate debugging and prototyping.
