Responsibilities
- Lead client implementations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments from requirements gathering through Seqera Platform deployment.
- Deploy infrastructure for Seqera Platform and pipeline compute, including networking, DNS, TLS, private certificate authorities, IAM, secrets, container runtimes, and storage.
- Guide client IT teams through deployments when direct account access is limited while respecting security and compliance requirements.
- Build repeatable deployment tools with pre-flight checks, clear failures, tests, scanning, and documentation.
- Partner with Sales and Scientific Development on solution design and proof-of-concept deployments.
- Act as a senior escalation point and turn recurring client problems into lasting fixes with internal teams.
- Provide technical onboarding, explain complex topics to varied audiences, and elicit and clarify client requirements.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP; multi-cloud experience is advantageous.
- Confidence with networking, TLS and certificate management, IAM, access control, security, and compliance constraints.
- Required experience with Terraform; CloudFormation, Pulumi, and Ansible are useful additional skills.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Helm is a strong plus.
- Comfort building and shipping maintainable tools in Python and Bash, including tests, scanning, and documentation.
- Understanding of workflow engines operating against remote compute, storage, and container runtimes.
- Ability to lead technical onboarding and pre-sales, navigate ambiguity, and communicate credibly with scientists and DevOps engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to SLURM or Grid Engine, life sciences or bioinformatics, technical pre-sales, Nextflow, and startup environments.
- Applicants must provide a public code repository and a narrative describing their abilities, growth, and use of AI with human judgment.
