Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a scalable automation framework.
- Develop automated test suites for relevant projects and products.
- Define and standardize testing iterations and regression testing.
- Become the product subject matter expert for owned applications.
- Collaborate with developers, technical analysts, project managers, and delivery owners to diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
- Own defect tracking and follow-up.
- Manage automation metrics including utilization, penetration, upfront automation, and pass/fail rate.
- Mentor and coach QA software engineers and other team members.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant Software Test Engineer experience, or a master's degree in Computer Science and 3+ years of relevant experience, or comparable experience and training.
- At least four years of experience creating automation tests using data-driven and object-oriented processes or other OOD/OOP languages.
- Ability to write Java-based automated tests.
- Experience with JavaScript, Playwright, Cucumber, Cypress, Selenium, API test automation, AWS automation, Jenkins, Git repositories, JIRA, and the Atlassian Product Suite.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor AI, or Claude Code to improve QA automation, QA processes, and delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases.
- Track record of implementing DevOps principles.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment, solve problems independently and collaboratively, and operate with attention to detail.
