Responsibilities
- Design and implement algorithms using minimal memory and processor cycles while meeting rigid real-time deadlines.
- Design and implement bare-metal, highly optimized control firmware for embedded 5G/4G/multimode cellular systems.
- Architect system-level features and lead feature delivery through the complete firmware/software lifecycle.
- Work with hardware/software interfaces for high-speed communication subsystems.
- Use AI/ML tools and principles to improve productivity and implement algorithms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Understanding of bare-metal control firmware optimized for cycles and memory and of constrained firmware environments versus software platforms.
- Understanding of firmware/software lifecycle delivery and system-level feature architecture.
- Fundamental facility with C, C++, compilers, build tools, and source-code control tools.
- Understanding of computer architecture, particularly hardware/software interfaces in high-speed communication subsystems.
- Some mainstream OS application-level development and Python or Perl scripting experience.
- Foundational knowledge of machine-learning algorithms, deep-learning architectures such as CNNs, RNNs, and Transformers, and generative AI tools.
- Preferred: theoretical understanding of AI/ML algorithm implementation, mathematical foundations, parameter-estimation algorithms, and AI/ML acceleration hardware programming models.
- Preferred: understanding of asymmetric multiprocessing, 4G/5G 3GPP protocols, wireless communications, silicon prototyping, emulation systems, virtual platforms, memory-constrained RTOS, and concurrent programming.
