Base Salary
$168k - $221k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess whether prospect and customer applications are suitable for Temporal.
- Explain the technical benefits and drawbacks of the Temporal platform and cloud service.
- Position Temporal against alternative technologies and technical patterns.
- Enable customer engineering organizations to expand their production applications using Temporal.
- Partner with Account Executives on account plans, opportunity scoping, and sizing.
- Own relationships with customer technical decision-makers evaluating and operating Temporal applications.
- Construct application prototypes and provide design, development, build, and deployment guidance.
- Advise on application patterns, platform architecture, security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
Requirements
- Excellent technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
- Comfort discussing distributed-system technologies, design decisions, and best practices.
- Ability to use at least one supported language: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, or PHP.
- Knowledge of operating applications in production, including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
- Ability to advise customers on architectural topics and identify suitable or unsuitable use cases.
- Comfort working with at least one major cloud provider and common application-development and production services.
- Ability to serve as a technical advisor to Sales Account Executives.
- Ability to learn new technical topics and work effectively with customer engineers.
- Ability to coach customers and help others communicate technical concepts effectively.
