Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of a real-time collaboration platform with multi-user editing, conflict resolution, and distributed state synchronization.
- Develop interactive data storytelling capabilities involving charts, maps, visualizations, and other data-driven content within reports.
- Design and implement scalable microservices and APIs for high-concurrency workloads.
- Manage and optimize data platforms and orchestration pipelines.
- Mentor engineers, lead technical design and implementation, and guide architectural and code-quality decisions.
- Collaborate with product, design, and end-users to create intuitive experiences for complex data analysis.
- Prototype AI-driven features such as copyediting, proofreading, metadata tagging, cross-report reference validation, and agent-based workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with a background in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Proficiency with full-stack web technologies including ReactJS, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MinIO.
- Backend or frontend development experience with Java/Spring Boot or React/TypeScript, plus willingness to learn new languages and frameworks.
- Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and object storage.
- Proficiency with CI/CD processes, Infrastructure as Code, Git, Kubernetes, and deploying and operating cloud applications.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, software engineering best practices, and scalable service development.
- Ability to lead agile teams or mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
- Experience with WebSockets, Operational Transformation, or rich-text engine customization is a plus.
- Familiarity with LLM-powered features, agent-based workflows, automation tools, Vite, Nx, large-scale or monorepo codebases, Elastic stack, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or Neo4J is a plus.
