Base Salary
$162k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead projects end to end and contribute to impactful platform initiatives.
- Partner with engineers, scientists, product managers, and business teams to identify opportunities.
- Integrate open-source, enterprise, and SaaS technologies into the stack.
- Design and ship components of a new platform architecture for multi-tenancy and data governance.
- Contribute to the growth of Data Lakehouse platforms for analytical use cases.
- Continuously improve the Research Platform for experimentation and data processing.
- Help shape data modeling and context engineering approaches.
- Advocate for a product mindset within Platform and Data engineering.
- Explore AI-assisted workflows to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate through system design, code reviews, and promote team culture.
- Support platform users to troubleshoot issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and operating reliable production software systems.
- Proficiency with Python and experience with other high-level programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals including networking and containerization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services and IaC using a major cloud provider.
- Operational experience managing large Kubernetes clusters.
- A pragmatic approach to reliability and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Comfort with cross-functional collaboration and navigating tradeoffs.
- BS or higher in computer science or a related technical field.
