Responsibilities
- Oversee cloud security governance and monitoring.
- Maintain a Cloud Security Posture Management solution.
- Provide cloud security subject-matter expertise to DevOps, IT, development, and GRC teams.
- Support and maintain cloud-native security controls in Azure or Google Cloud environments.
- Conduct cloud security reviews and develop documentation with security recommendations and best practices.
- Identify weak spots, missing controls, and vulnerabilities and provide remediation recommendations.
- Monitor emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security controls.
- Participate in investigations and responses to potential security incidents.
- Implement automation for security-related tasks.
- Assist and audit product teams in building and maintaining secure primarily IaaS and PaaS cloud environments.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar technical security role.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud or Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace.
- Strong knowledge of CSPM and DSPM solutions.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, architecture best practices, managed services, common vulnerabilities, mitigations, and security practices.
- Familiarity with modern application development approaches and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, serverless systems, and code or artifact repositories considered a plus.
- Broad IT and enterprise architecture knowledge, including the TCP/IP stack, relevant protocols, firewalls, proxies, Windows or Linux server operating systems, and web or database servers.
- Basic Python or Shell scripting skills for task automation.
- Basic understanding of AI concepts and practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity, automation, and security workflows.
- Effective spoken and written English communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of AWS and relevant security, systems, or networking certifications is preferred.
