Base Salary
$105k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and provide guidance on software performance requirements and software design.
- Support software development, integration, testing, acceptance-criteria validation, and sustainment activities.
- Manage software production backlogs, including prioritization of emerging needs, bugs, and enhancements.
- Capture and refine fleet feedback and decompose fleet-derived capabilities into well-defined features.
- Coordinate software acquisition documents, CSCI reviews, milestone reviews, audits, demonstrations, and trip reports.
- Track software risks, issues, opportunities, mitigation plans, and development metrics.
- Establish and enforce DevSecOps methodologies and practices within developer teams.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity, CI/CD, and fleet integration teams to develop, test, deploy, and maintain fieldable systems.
- Support software cost estimates, configuration-management adherence, quality evaluations, and software acquisition reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or a technical/scientific degree with software engineering experience on DoD programs.
- Junior or journey-level experience working on engineering activities for a technology program.
- Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance if necessary.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to travel within CONUS up to six times per year.
- Local to Pax River/NAS with availability for scheduled and ad hoc in-person meetings.
- Preferred experience includes software development and sustainment, DoD acquisition, military aviation or Navy/Marine Corps service, system requirements, DoD mission planning, Model Based Systems Engineering artifacts, Agile or Agile SAFe processes, cybersecurity, system security, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, software safety, testing, and accreditations.
