Responsibilities
- Automate manual operational tasks and recurring infrastructure challenges.
- Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Perform deep incident diagnosis and coordinate resolutions with multiple engineering teams.
- Support infrastructure decisions and recommend infrastructure optimizations.
- Drive operational excellence and improve system reliability, stability, and scalability.
- Lead junior engineers on projects and mentor engineers while helping shape technical culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related coding-focused technical field.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
- Experience with Go, Python, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Ruby, with Golang experience preferred.
- Experience with service monitoring, logging, alarms, and Linux troubleshooting.
- Strong Linux command and shell scripting skills for automating routine tasks.
- Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack, or Puppet for automation and provisioning.
- Experience with cloud-based large-scale infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, preferably with certification.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably with certification.
- Experience building high-throughput streaming services and familiarity with Flink.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects and using performance analysis and debugging tools.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, learning orientation, and verbal and written English skills.
