Base Salary
$109k - $109k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to design, build, operate, and improve innovative products and services.
- Break down complex and ambiguous problems into well-defined components before implementation.
- Contribute to scalable and reliable services with distributed-systems scope varying by team.
- Participate in code reviews, including validating AI-generated code for correctness.
- Write technical documentation and clean, maintainable code using software design best practices.
- Use GenAI and AI-powered development tools while critically validating and integrating their output.
- Work with CI/CD practices and participate in operational responsibilities, including on-call duties.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to support operational excellence.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old and enrolled in a bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Have experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Have experience with data structures, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
- Have experience using AI-assisted development tools in an academic or professional setting.
- Have an expected degree conferral date between October 2027 and September 2029 and at least one academic term remaining after the internship.
- Be able to work at least 40 hours per week for the 12-week internship.
- Preferred qualifications include prior technical internships or project experience, AWS or other cloud-platform experience, SQL and NoSQL database experience, AI development-tool experience, open-source contributions, and version-control experience.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the software development lifecycle, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ownership and initiative, communication skills, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
