Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate services that optimize ad delivery in real time using data-driven logic and increasingly ML/AI models.
- Scale backend pipelines for high-throughput event ingestion and processing.
- Provide accurate, low-latency reporting to advertisers.
- Support experimentation and measurement at scale.
- Develop systems for real-time bidding, targeting, and ad ranking across Amazon-owned devices.
- Participate in the full lifecycle from design through deployment and contribute to the team’s technical direction.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multithreaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
