Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Python backend services for financial forecasting automation and modernization.
- Develop distributed architectures and data pipelines using DataIQ, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Automate weekly and monthly processing using Python and SQL.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to integrate solutions.
- Analyze technical requirements, propose robust solutions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Participate in design reviews and improve code, processes, tools, automated tests, CI/CD, and monitoring.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and security in a regulated, multi-team environment.
- Integrate with Teradata and legacy platforms while directing deliverables toward Snowflake.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of Python development experience in complex environments.
- Required experience in banking or large financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Proficiency with Linux environments and DevOps practices, including Git, CI/CD, and containerization.
- Familiarity with DataIQ, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
