Responsibilities

Define and own the multi-year technical architecture and standards for the Developer Platform ecosystem.
Act as the technical decision-maker for complex architecture challenges within Platform Engineering and Enablement.
Champion solutions that enforce technical standards and drive code quality across the developer lifecycle.
Elevate the organization's technical capability through expert consulting and design reviews.
Own the architectural evolution of the Bazel build system and associated toolchains.
Define technical standards for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and CI/CD pipeline governance.
Architect systems for measuring and improving engineering performance using established metrics frameworks.
Establish and enforce unified technical standards for cloud security and operational monitoring.
Provide expert consultation on high-risk architectural decisions related to Cloud Applications.
Drive initiatives for cloud resource optimization and cost efficiency across AWS-hosted services.

12+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Platform Engineering.
5+ years in a Principal Engineer or Chief Architect role, demonstrating technical strategy setting.
Expert-level proficiency in advanced build systems like Bazel and complex CI/CD pipelines.
Deep expertise in architecting and scaling complex internal developer platforms.
Strong knowledge of Cloud Architecture, distributed systems design, and SRE principles.
Exceptional technical communication and negotiation skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
