Responsibilities
- Develop modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Design and implement backend services using Python and Django.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs with Django REST Framework.
- Implement real-time and asynchronous functionality using Django Channels and WebSockets.
- Build event-driven services and messaging solutions with Redis Streams.
- Develop and maintain Dockerized applications and microservices for Kubernetes/K3S environments.
- Work with PostgreSQL, DuckDB, Redis, and data lake technologies for data access and processing.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Contribute to automated build, testing, and deployment processes through GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain code quality using SonarQube and collaborate with DevSecOps teams on security vulnerabilities, including JFrog Xray findings.
- Implement application monitoring, metrics, and health checks using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Apply secure coding and cloud-native development practices while collaborating with technical teams to deliver reliable software.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience, preferably with Python/Django, React, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong knowledge of React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Strong experience with Python and Django for backend development.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs, ideally with Django REST Framework.
- Experience with Django Channels and WebSockets for real-time communication.
- Experience developing and maintaining production-grade web applications.
- Good understanding of Docker, containerized applications, microservices, and REST-based architectures.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and database integration.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of automated testing and software quality assurance.
- Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures.
- Good understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory; French is an advantage.
- Kubernetes/K3S, Rancher, Redis Streams, DuckDB, data lakes, Prometheus, Grafana, GitLab CI/CD, SonarQube, JFrog tools, Helm, GNSS, geospatial technologies, scientific applications, or space-sector experience are beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work proactively, analytically, collaboratively, independently, and with strong attention to quality.
