Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with engineering assignments, design details, calculations, research, and data gathering.
- Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision.
- Complete assigned tasks on time and follow basic work instructions while learning company methods and practices.
- Support software development and engineering activities for defense and intelligence products.
- Communicate effectively, build professional networks, and support the organization’s mission, values, and culture.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and current enrollment in an engineering degree program with some progress toward the degree.
- Understanding of software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux, with some experience on Windows.
- Understanding of multithreading and multiprocessing concepts.
- Good interpersonal skills, diligence, hard work, and ability to learn quickly.
- Preferred: experience developing Linux embedded drivers for TCP/IP, UART, I²C, PCIe, and other interfaces.
- Preferred: experience with Git, Jira, version control, defect tracking, peer code reviews, and modern software development practices.
