Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, modify, deploy, and maintain enterprise systems and software applications.
- Develop scalable, robust, fault-tolerant distributed applications and backend services using Java/J2EE technologies.
- Select, integrate, and configure platforms, middleware, messaging services, databases, and software solutions.
- Perform requirements analysis, documentation, testing, code reviews, vulnerability scanning, and maintenance planning.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, compliance, standards, and process requirements.
- Identify emerging technologies and recommend system and process improvements.
- Coach and mentor junior team members and collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Applications.
- Five years of software development experience in a distributed, microservices environment using Java/J2EE, MyBatis, and Oracle databases.
- Advanced Java programming skills including lambda functions, multithreading, concurrency, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience designing large-scale distributed applications, test-driven development, defensive coding, scalability planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, GlassFish, IBM WebSphere Application Server, and ActiveMQ.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, and web services using SOAP/JAX-WS and REST.
- Experience with application security and vulnerability scanning tools including SonarQube and SonarLint.
- Knowledge of software design principles and all phases of the software development lifecycle.
