Base Salary
$79k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop maintainable, reusable web applications and UI modules for large-scale deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product, engineering, design, product management, and release teams to deliver user-focused features.
- Rapidly prototype web applications and concepts.
- Drive REST API design and integrate web applications with back-end services.
- Ensure UI consistency, accessibility, and internationalization standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and other agile development activities.
- Improve legacy Dojo codebases and support modernization through incremental refactoring, patterns, and tooling.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience designing, building, and delivering web applications.
- Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and object-oriented JavaScript development.
- Experience with JavaScript toolkits and UI frameworks or libraries such as React, Vue, Angular, jQuery, and Dojo.
- Experience with HTML, DOM, CSS, the event model, and cross-browser development.
- Experience with AJAX, JSON, REST, and version control systems such as Git.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, independence, and ability to work effectively through ambiguity and production issues.
- Preferred experience with web server configuration and deployment, including Nginx.
- Preferred experience with C#, Python, or Java.
- Preferred experience applying embeddings, RAG, and prompt engineering to user interfaces and workflows.
- Preferred experience with ArcGIS, GIS concepts, or ArcGIS APIs.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
