Base Salary
$125k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop platform capabilities using cloud-native open-source components such as Kubernetes, Backstage, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
- Scope tasks and set priorities for team members contributing to shared objectives.
- Drive high-quality implementation and production best practices, including monitoring, frequent releases, and reliable CI.
- Collaborate with engineers on system architecture and integrations.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure production products and services.
- Experience with Go, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Azure.
- Experience with or familiarity with GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Backstage, or related tools.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design, along with analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills for deriving requirements, defining problem scope, and documenting system designs.
- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with microservices, software delivery platforms, DevSecOps, continuous integration, and release management processes.
- Preferred experience working on a centralized developer platform team and a strong focus on developer experience.
