Responsibilities
- Build core applied-layer agent infrastructure powering Monk’s agentic products.
- Design, ship, maintain, and evolve foundational backend and financial systems end to end.
- Extend the architecture to support thousands of B2B accounts receivable use cases.
- Own monitoring, alerting, reliability, and incident response at scale.
- Ship production changes quickly and improve customer payment outcomes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js development experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, data pipelines, and observability.
- Ability to make architectural tradeoffs, determine when systems need to be rebuilt, and own infrastructure issues through resolution.
- Interest in building applied AI systems and working in person in Flatiron, NYC.
