Responsibilities
- Maintain, implement, and extend automation frameworks and tools for device or cloud platform testing.
- Develop automated validation for device state machines, triggers, connectivity flows, telemetry pipelines, and device-to-cloud synchronization.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines for device and platform testing, including hardware-in-the-loop execution.
- Investigate device and platform failures using logs, telemetry data, and system metrics.
- Automate testing for device provisioning, OTA updates, connectivity recovery, and lifecycle workflows.
- Participate in design discussions to improve testability and reliability across systems.
- Mentor junior engineers on automation development and scalable test strategies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in test automation, software engineering, or SDET roles.
- Good coding skills in Python, C#, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, or Go.
- Understanding of state machines, event-driven systems, and real-time execution.
- Experience diagnosing failures using logs and traces.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated hardware test environments.
- Proven ability to deliver reliable automation for complex cloud/firmware features.
- Demonstrated understanding of test flakiness and design automation to prevent instability.
