Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver a high-quality rider application.
- Own the development and continuous improvement of Via's rider Android app.
- Architect and evolve mobile infrastructure services for the apps.
- Diagnose and resolve critical production issues under pressure.
- Mentor and guide engineers on the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
- Deep proficiency in Kotlin and strong knowledge of the Android application lifecycle.
- Strong grasp of Android app architecture patterns and RESTful APIs.
- Expertise in performance optimization and memory management.
- Knowledge of concurrent programming using Kotlin Coroutines or RxJava.
- Experience with Android frameworks including Location Services and Google Maps API.
