Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electromechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic test components and systems.
- Design new test equipment, assemblies, and processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
- Develop specialized test equipment, system architectures, interface definitions, and requirements validation.
- Use LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time, and LabVIEW FPGA to develop and maintain test systems and automation.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve issues with development and production teams.
- Perform VHDL firmware coding and debugging and work with FPGA hardware.
- Lead the design process, provide technical leadership, coordinate work, and mentor younger engineers.
- Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzers, digital meters, and power supplies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and 5 or more years of relevant technical experience.
- Experience with LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time, and LabVIEW FPGA development tools.
- Experience with bug-tracking tools, version-control systems, test-system design and maintenance, Python or another automation scripting language, containerization, and test automation.
- Familiarity with National Instruments hardware, real-time controllers, FPGA cards, and test equipment for actuators, motors, controllers, and circuit cards.
- Experience coaching, guiding, training, or providing technical leadership to other engineers is preferred.
- Experience with quantitative software such as MATLAB, Minitab, R, or S-Plus.
- Experience with VHDL firmware coding and debugging.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Strong self-motivation, critical-thinking, analytical, written-communication, and verbal-communication skills.
- Certified LabVIEW Developer certification and familiarity with analog and digital hardware design, verification, production testing, and controller and actuator testing are preferred.
