Senior Software Engineer, TorchPass Product Engineering

Base Salary
$150k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own TorchPass installation, configuration, and customer-facing product views.
- Maintain accurate product documentation with every release.
- Work directly with customers and solutions engineers during evaluations to debug logs and distinguish product defects from environment issues.
- Convert field feedback into fixes, tests, and documentation.
- Define customer cluster requirements and product guarantees with the core engineering team.
- Extend TorchPass to new schedulers and job launchers.
- Support release engineering activities such as build pipelines, packaging, and artifact delivery when applicable.
Requirements
- 4+ years building or operating infrastructure software in production.
- Experience making infrastructure software installable and supportable by people who did not build it.
- Strong production debugging skills, including systems the candidate did not write.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes or Slurm.
- Strong Python skills and the ability to read and modify Go.
- Ability to use AI coding tools effectively while taking responsibility for shipped code.
- Ability to write documentation that users can follow successfully.
- Comfort working with customers on technical problems.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience with GPU clusters or machine learning training infrastructure.
- Preferred: release engineering experience, including build pipelines, packaging, and artifact delivery.
- Preferred: experience bringing up clusters across more than one cloud provider.
