Base Salary

$160k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

Build multi-tenant services on public cloud platforms such as AWS.
Architect, build, and consume APIs and backend services with emphasis on automation, testing, and security.
Lead development of core platform services supporting U.S. government satellite operations.
Improve product quality, security, and performance across the team and platform.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Interact with customers and partners to help them integrate with services.
Scale services and solve space communications challenges.

At least 5 years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
Extensive experience with Python, FastAPI, Postgres, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
In-depth knowledge of at least one commercial cloud platform and its associated services.
Experience leading the architecture and development of backend services and APIs for performance, security, and reliability.
Ability to own technical problems end-to-end and learn and adapt quickly.
Strong communication skills and experience working with end users to design and build solutions.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Must meet U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements or obtain the required authorizations.

Fully remote role, with all work completed in the United States.
Occasional travel may be required for client visits, semiannual company gatherings, and project-related travel.
