Base Salary

$140k - $154k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deliver cybersecurity consulting services for robotic and autonomous systems in safety- and mission-critical environments.
  • Assess embedded software, sensors, actuators, communications, autonomy stacks, cloud or edge infrastructure, operator interfaces, and development environments.
  • Lead or support threat modeling, security architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
  • Define, implement, and evaluate secure software development and DevSecOps practices, including automated security testing, SBOM generation, vulnerability management, and secure release processes.
  • Develop cybersecurity assurance practices, frameworks, and evidence packages for robotic systems.
  • Advise on secure architecture, identity and access management, secure communications, encryption, key management, secure boot, trusted execution, software updates, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Lead client engagement activities including scoping, project and sprint planning, solution evaluation, and translating findings into recommendations.
  • Support business development by building client relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping develop technical and business solutions.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an M.S. with at least 3 years of relevant work experience after completing the degree.
  • U.S. citizenship and possession of, or ability to obtain, a DoD security clearance.
  • Experience securing robotic, autonomous, embedded, cyber-physical, operational technology, or safety-critical systems.
  • Strong understanding of threat modeling, secure architecture, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, secure software development, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with robotics systems such as ROS/ROS 2, real-time operating systems, embedded Linux, microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, perception systems, autonomy stacks, and robotic communications protocols.
  • Experience with one or more relevant programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Rust, or Java.
  • Familiarity with secure software development, code analysis, dependency management, SBOMs, container security, and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication, project management, organizational, business development, and client advisory skills.
