Responsibilities
- Lead requirements discovery with Finance, HR, People, and Sales Operations stakeholders and translate business needs into technical architectures.
- Design, build, and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend microservices in AWS using event-driven, distributed, and serverless architectures.
- Design and implement integrations across Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe, and Coupa using Workato and custom connectors and APIs.
- Build internal dashboards, admin consoles, and workflow automation portals with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Architect AWS infrastructure and observability using services including API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Secrets Manager, IAM, Terraform, CloudWatch, and Datadog.
- Develop generative AI solutions, LLM agents, RAG pipelines, and MCP connectors using AWS Bedrock and Claude or OpenAI APIs.
- Mentor Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Champion automated testing, CI/CD automation, ITGC/SOX controls, root-cause analysis, and permanent remediation of production issues.
- Provide L3 escalation support for critical enterprise data flows and production systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a staff, tech lead, or principal engineering capacity.
- Deep production experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, distributed microservices, multithreading, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong working knowledge of TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3 for full-stack internal tool development.
- Hands-on integration and data-model experience across at least two enterprise domains involving Finance, HRIS, or CRM systems.
- Deep AWS cloud and serverless architecture experience, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and S3.
- Experience with enterprise iPaaS platforms, preferably Workato, or MuleSoft and Boomi, plus native integration and custom connector development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Databricks, and Snowflake or comparable relational, NoSQL, and data warehouse technologies.
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, SAML, mTLS, Okta SSO/SCIM, ITGC, SOX, and SOC 2 controls.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and communicate with C-suite and VP-level business partners.
- Preferred experience with Go, Python, FastAPI, Flask, asynchronous I/O, AWS Bedrock, LangChain4j, OpenAI or Claude APIs, vector embeddings, MCP, Terraform, AWS SAM, or CDK.
- Must be eligible to work without sponsorship.
