Responsibilities
- Develop drivers, software, and firmware that unlock the value of hardware and systems.
- Specify, design, implement, test, sustain, and maintain software features for new and existing products.
- Define and complete software projects while owning goals, schedules, and task completion.
- Apply software design, architecture, object-oriented programming, computer architecture, and operating-system principles.
- Collaborate with hardware R&D, software R&D, systems R&D, manufacturing, and other business groups.
- Maintain product quality and security requirements and drive software development excellence and continuous improvement.
- Use debugging, unit testing, and scripting practices to support software development.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
- More than 10 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of computers and high-level programming languages, particularly C and C++.
- Detailed understanding of software design and architecture, object-oriented programming, hardware or systems programming, computer architecture, and operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability to define and complete software projects and take ownership through completion.
- Windows driver development and Linux kernel-mode and user-mode driver development are advantageous.
- Experience with Windows and Linux debugging tools, such as WinDBG, is advantageous.
- Experience with unit testing and scripting languages such as Python is advantageous.
- Ability to problem-solve, take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively across groups and global teams.
- English proficiency and the ability to communicate clearly in technical conversations.
