Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Design and estimate medium-complexity InsuranceSuite product gaps and enhancements.
- Own the definition, planning, quality, and delivery of a customer-program functional or integration workstream.
- Build and review production-quality configuration and code in Gosu and Java on Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Configure PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter across products, rules, workflows, and UI for functional tracks.
- Design and build integrations using Cloud API, Integration Gateway, App Events, and messaging for integration tracks.
- Own integration contracts, error handling, performance, resilience, and security for the integration workstream.
- Identify delivery risks, present analysis and options, and support customer and project-team decisions.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools in design, configuration, integration, and testing, and help the team adopt effective patterns.
- Mentor junior consultants and customer or partner developers on Guidewire functionality and delivery practices.
- Communicate with project managers, product owners, customer architects, and other stakeholders.
- Share knowledge through reusable assets, knowledge articles, and internal sessions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years delivering core insurance or enterprise systems, including at least 3 years of hands-on Guidewire InsuranceSuite experience.
- Experience delivering across most implementation phases, including Inception, build, stabilisation, and go-live.
- Strong knowledge of one InsuranceSuite product and working knowledge of at least one other.
- Proficiency in Gosu and Java, plus Git-based delivery and CI/CD using TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Experience leading a small team or workstream and reviewing other people's work.
- Understanding of P&C insurance operations, including policy, claims, and billing.
- Clear written and spoken English and comfort working directly with customer stakeholders.
- Guidewire ACE certification in at least one InsuranceSuite product, or ability to obtain it within six months of joining.
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include Guidewire Cloud Platform delivery, self-managed-to-cloud migration experience, Jutro, Guidewire Data Platform, wider Guidewire portfolio experience, AI coding assistant or agent experience, Agile delivery experience, Scrum Master or delivery-lead experience, ANZ insurance-market knowledge, and APRA regulatory knowledge.
- AWS or another cloud certification is a plus.
