Responsibilities

  • Consult with prospects and clients to evaluate technical requirements, operational objectives, and geospatial navigation needs.
  • Architect and recommend customized hardware and software solutions using GNSS and INS technologies.
  • Deliver technical presentations, whiteboard sessions, and live product demonstrations to technical and executive audiences.
  • Lead technical scoping, implementation, and execution of Proof of Concept projects in real-world environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to convert customer feedback into product roadmap insights.
  • Partner with sales account executives to answer technical questions, address objections, and accelerate sales cycles.
  • Provide technical mentorship and pre-sales leadership to regional sales personnel without direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Support customer onboarding, integration, field testing, and occasional client-site or trade-show engagements.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory standards in geospatial, defense, and robotics markets.
  • Comply with workplace HSE requirements and export-control procedures during customer and field-testing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Aerospace, Geomatics, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years of technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical sales experience in a high-tech hardware/software environment.
  • Working knowledge of GNSS, INS, cloud computing, networking, and sensor integration concepts.
  • Ability to calculate position, velocity, acceleration, and orientation metrics and analyze sensor data.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or similar tools for data analysis is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, APIs, SDKs, and Command Line Interfaces is preferred.
  • Prior experience in surveying, subsea/maritime, defense, robotics, or autonomous vehicle applications is preferred.
  • Understanding of sensor fusion and position-velocity-orientation algorithms, plus the ability to design and validate PoC architectures.
  • Strong technical presentation, written and verbal communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Must be willing and able to travel nationally and occasionally internationally up to the stated travel percentage.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR and EAR due to access to defense technologies and trade-controlled technical data.
  • Must be able to lift, transport, and set up field-testing equipment weighing up to 35–50 pounds.
