Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders on solution discovery, technical design, estimations, and delivery planning.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, production-quality back-end-focused software solutions while contributing across the full stack as needed.
- Own features from technical design through deployment and ongoing support.
- Design and implement enterprise integrations, automation workflows, data processing solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Lead technical initiatives, provide architectural decision-making, and drive cross-team collaboration.
- Lead and mentor Middle and Senior engineers through technical guidance and peer reviews.
- Establish standards for responsible use of AI coding assistants and review AI-generated code for scalability, maintainability, security risks, and edge cases.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance as business demands grow.
- Translate business requirements and incomplete or evolving requirements into practical technical solutions with measurable value.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of commercial software engineering experience with a strong back-end focus.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
- Experience with React.js and REST API and/or GraphQL solutions.
- Daily hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, integrations, and risk management.
- Experience working in enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Ability and willingness to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, systems thinking, ownership, and accountability.
- Ability to balance technical and business priorities and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.
- Preferred: formal team leadership experience, experience building AI-enabled business solutions, enterprise process automation platform experience, experience defining governance standards for AI-assisted development, and exposure to complex distributed enterprise systems.
