Base Salary
$179k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable high-performance software and foundational runtime components for autonomy functions.
- Develop tools that provide insight into system performance and behavior.
- Collaborate with autonomy and platform teams to integrate applications with runtime infrastructure.
- Create automated unit and integration tests and work with simulation teams to validate runtime software off-vehicle.
- Contribute to software architecture and coordinate with Product Security and Functional Safety teams on system hardening and automotive safety compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or a PhD.
- At least 5+ years of modern C++ development experience in a systems-programming role.
- Hands-on experience developing high-performance C++ applications or robotics software in resource-constrained environments.
- Experience developing in a Linux or Unix environment.
- Ability to design software components and systems and communicate designs through documents, diagrams, and presentations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Preferred qualifications include Bazel, ROS or another robotics platform, JSON or YAML configuration, Protobuf compiler plugins, driver monitoring systems, publish/subscribe communication, distributed and concurrent programming, POSIX APIs, real-time operating systems, and ISO-26262 or other software safety standards.
