Responsibilities
- Define security properties and architecture for next-generation operating systems.
- Design and implement techniques to protect user privacy during web browsing, email, and secure messaging.
- Investigate and implement evolving secure protocols.
- Collaborate with Apple teams on multifunctional security technologies and initiatives.
- Promote and drive adoption of security technologies across the organization.
- Develop software across the stack, from the kernel through libraries, frameworks, and applications.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience in systems or operating system development using C.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Passion for pragmatic transport security.
- Experience with ASN.1, X.509 certificate evaluation, TLS, or other secure protocols.
- Strong understanding of recent developments and concerns involving standard protocols such as TLS.
- Industry knowledge of operating system security and applied cryptography.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
