Base Salary
$48k - $87k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop AI/ML and software solutions for open-ended aerospace and defense research problems.
- Apply dynamical modeling, simulation, supervised learning, reinforcement learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
- Implement technical solutions using programming languages such as Python.
- Collaborate with peers and experienced professionals, use internal software toolkits, and learn independently.
- Work with an experienced mentor and present internship work at company-wide events and a formal presentation.
Requirements
- Work toward a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Advanced programming proficiency in Python and MATLAB.
- Fundamental knowledge of linear algebra, matrix mathematics, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate frames.
- Fundamental knowledge of vehicle and attitude dynamics, control systems, and flight mechanics.
- Understanding of machine learning basics, supervised learning, reinforcement learning, and statistics.
- Effective technical communication and the ability to conduct independent research.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently on open-ended research problems.
- Ability to relocate to and work on-site at the Huntsville, Alabama office.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI Poly Security Clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include graduate study, research experience, C++, Linux, Git, and an active security clearance.
