Base Salary
$150k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test emulators for SPARC-based flight computers and other mission-critical flight hardware.
- Integrate emulation capabilities with existing flight and ground software development and test workflows.
- Optimize applications to meet strict performance requirements and ensure solutions are documented and thoroughly tested.
- Use and contribute to CI/CD pipelines throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects, flight and ground software engineers, team members, leads, and customer personnel to achieve project milestones.
- Follow corporate processes and standards related to quality, compliance, and security.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in high-performance C++ application software engineering within Linux environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- US citizenship and participation in a background screen are required.
- Ability to document and communicate software designs and work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with advanced, high-performing C++ and modern production software development techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with emulator development, particularly RISC or SPARC architectures, is desired.
- Experience with RTEMS or another real-time operating system, serial communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1553 and RS-422, and TCP/UDP socket programming is desired.
- Experience with embedded systems, space vehicle flight software, or ground systems is desired.
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming, Python, and continuous integration and delivery techniques is desired.
- Ability to obtain a DoD clearance is desired.
